Parks have asked for Swish. More coaches means more nights, more gyms, and more girls who get taught instead of turned away.

You’d be learning from Bill Formella, who has coached girls for 25 years, led the Swish girls program for twelve years and has been offering programming through Forsyth County Parks & Recreation since spring of 2019.

Helper

$20 an hour

$30 a 90-minute session

Run drills beside a lead. Rebound, encourage and keep a small group on track. No experience needed.

Team lead

$30 an hour

$45 a 90-minute session

Run your group’s session from Bill’s plan. For people who’ve coached or played seriously.

You coach the player in front of you.

Bill supplies the plan. You keep the drills going, encourage, correct and help each group turn a skill into a game decision.

These are the rates for the weeknight skills program. Travel and club coaching are paid differently.

Parents: can I help?

Yes, as a helper, even if your daughter plays with us. Two rules keep it fair: parents don’t take a team-lead role, and nobody coaches their own daughter.
